VIRGINIA BEACH, VA., Feb. 17, 2010 /PRnewswire/—Mythics today announced that it has been awarded a prime contract by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) to provide comprehensive development and operational support services supporting the development of the Electronic Uniformed Pension System (e-UPS) . e-UPS’ primary objectives are to provide the smooth migration of the legacy FDNY pension system and the implementation of a secure web enabled pension application which provides user friendly displays serving New York City’s firefighters and other first responders.

FDNY is the New York City government agency that is responsible for first response to fires, public safety, medical emergencies, disasters and terrorist acts, protecting the lives and property of New York City residents and visitors. Under the contract, the Mythics team will support the organization in the modernization and replacement of the organization’s electronic pension system. The new electronic pension system will be built upon a highly scalable and reliable Oracle architecture including Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle Application Server. The system will be developed utilizing Oracle JDeveloper and the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). Under the contract, the Mythics team will be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, system design, development, testing and a production rollout of the new system.
