Great Event! and Thank you to Tom Kyte @ Oracle
This is a note/blog to thank all of our customers and partners and the entire Oracle Mid-Atlantic team who turned out for a really successful Oracle Technology Day in Richmond, VA late this week.
A special thank you goes out to Tom Kyte from Oracle Corporation for his keynote at this session. We've had the pleasure of hosting Tom at quite a few of these events. His insight and discussion of best practices surrounding the Oracle Database and ability to really help crystallize the value of the Oracle database plus the complete Oracle stack (OS, Database, Middleware, Applications, Hardware, and Storage) is really compelling.
Please visit Ask Tom – a long running blog/message board Tom personally runs discussing Oracle technologies and in depth Q&As on submitted questions.
Our team runs between 18-20 live local technology events throughout the U.S. each year, custom tailored to the specific interests our customers and partners have in each city/region we are serving. It always makes me proud to see these events and the impact live one-on-one discussions of real world envionments and challenges has. I am a fan of webinars and virtual events but in my experience nothing is more valueable than live one on one discussions to foster relationships and be the catalyst for really great dialogue.
As a company based in Virginia and as an Oracle Product Contract holder for the State of Virginia through (Virginia Information Technology Agency VITA), we work hard to bring the best and brightest in the world from Oracle and Mythics to our backdoor to meet and speak with leaders throughout State & Local Government, the Federal Government, Department of Defense and Commercial businesses.
Thanks again to Tom, all of customers and partners who attended from across Virginia, DC, MD and NC and to all our friends in Oracle Public Sector and Commercial who helped build and execute on a fantastic event.
