BIA built a new internal and external portal and a content management and process management system, improving service to its 2 million customers after years of being saddled with out-of-date content and an intranet that was not connected to the Internet. As a result of the modernization, more than 560 tribal organizations can now interact more effectively. Information updates, what had been decentralized and could take a full day, now are managed across 55 offices in minutes. AND 10,000 BIA employees and 70,000 Interior Department employees now con collaborate via the internal portal.
